John Harris Jr breaks association record

On 10/21/2011, John Harris, Jr. at Century Lanes put together games of 267, 300, and 299 to break the high series record with an 866 series. The previous record of 863 held by Pete Arruda had stood for more than 10 years. Great bowling!

2011 Match Game Championship Entries Open

We are now accepting entries for the 2011 Association Match Game Championships. This is a scratch tournament open to all members of the Midlands SC USBC Association with at least 21 games in a 2010-11 winter or summer league. The tournament will be held on Aug 27-28 at AMF Columbia Lanes. Full details and entry forms are available in the two attached PDF files.

Anchor Lanes Shootout league breaks national record.

300 games are pretty routine in the Anchor Lanes Shootout League but what happened this past Monday was record setting to say the least. The night began with David Shinn and Joe Kowalewski belting out 300 games. Not to be outdone, Jennifer Ditch, Ray Comer and Johnny Paschal followed the pattern of perfection by adding 3 more to the sum in the second game.

SC State Senior Match Game Tournament

The South Carolina State Senior Match Game Tournament entry forms are now available. The tournament will be held 2/26 - 2/27/2011 in Charleston, SC. Complete details are available on the State Association website here.

New Association Record Set

Almost one year after breaking the high series record for a four man team, Stop Taco Violence took over the top spot for high game as well. While bowling in the Anchor Lanes Shootout league sponsored by Siding Plus on March 8, the team had a 1,105 scratch game.
