Anchor Lanes Shootout league breaks national record.
300 games are pretty routine in the Anchor Lanes Shootout League but what happened this past Monday was record setting to say the least. The night began with David Shinn and Joe Kowalewski belting out 300 games. Not to be outdone, Jennifer Ditch, Ray Comer and Johnny Paschal followed the pattern of perfection by adding 3 more to the sum in the second game. Paul Espy and Mark Huff pounded out 12 in-a-row the third game to bring the total to 7 300 games for the night. That total broke the national USBC record for 300 games in the same league in the same series. If you consider the fact that there are a lot of leagues across the country that are larger in size and number of higher average bowlers it makes the feat even more impressive. Records are made to be broken and for one night in Irmo, South Carolina everything lined up just right for bowlers in our association to stamp their name in the book.
